They make a micro turbine that burns almost any gas. Today there was a PR. in reference to a sewage treatment plant that is using the turbine to burn the methane gas that is produced from the sewage. Interesting technology. http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/110707/225987.html?.v=2

CHATSWORTH, Calif., July 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capstone Turbine Corporation (www.capstoneturbine.com) (Nasdaq:CPST - News), the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, today announced that the City of Sheboygan, Wisconsin received a prestigious award from the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative (GLSLCI) for nearing self-sufficiency at its wastewater treatment plant using Capstone microturbines.
I have traded cpst for many years and have made good money with them. they are an up and coming company with increasing backlog/demand for there turbines. There numbers arent the greatest but have vastly improved and continue to do so. I also think that they, in the near future, may be bought out by either ge, united tech. or cummings. The technology, and their main selling point, is the the low maintenance, due to fewer parts in the turbine, hence less noise, and the lowest toxic emission levels of any turbine out there. The CEO has recently been assigned to some alt.energy commission position as an advisor for the feds. Obama even mentioned them in one of his energy speeches earlier in the year. Again, not the best numbers around but a growing demand for the product, especially in remote areas of Russia (one of their biggest customers) due to low maintenance. Read their case studies and the SEC reports. They have great long term potential and at the under two dollar range its worth a look into.
I used to watch it. It was the second worst stock I used to track. (Not dissing it now- haven't been keeping up with it) I liked the bus. in concept which is why I watched it so long.
The most overhyped, underperforming and worst by far has been Tetra Tech- ttek. The giant "clean water" and infrastructure play.
Never seen a company with so much revenue and orders with a stock that has done as poorly. (I don't own it but if you like it you can apply the three years I've been watching it and count that as your own.) It's "BOUND" to pay off big one of these days
