FWIW, I tried a value meal at McDonald's and got an egg sandwich, coffee, OJ, and a hash brown for $6.70. The coffee was bad, and the sandwich was passable. For about 2 and a half bucks more, I can get a great meal at Starbucks. Well worth the difference. I had thought it would be half the price of Starbucks.....nowhere close.
wrong again brad. we are in year 6 of the worst times since the great depession with the head dope still having 2 more years to spend the US into the ground, and people are still not giving up their coffee. SBUX is at another all time high even though more people are on welfare and below the poverty line then any other time. maybe those $5 lattes are being consumed by people looking for jobs, so that makes about 20% of the population using real unemployment rates
Not really...think about it. You pay the mortgage or face foreclosure and you put gas in your car to get to work. The extra $5 coffee drink is a luxury that is cut first, along with higher end luxuries. That or people replace SBUX with Dunkin and McDonalds where they get the same thing at a lower price.
