If you bought coca cola in 1902, you would have
made a killing over 97 years !!
Here is the flawed
1. Coke controls it's own formula, before it
goes on the bottle or cannister and controls its
expenses by offloading risk.
1a, Coke sells to
distributors or takes a piece of the action or both.
2.Sbux is "cradle to grave" and it gets stuck with all
the risks in any market. Lousy crop...they get hit;
rising labor...they get hit;....rising leases...they get
hit...rising distribution costs....they get hit
2a. SBUX is
held hostage by the vagaries of fluctuating, but
rising over time real estate prices.
2b. SBUX is
trying to be too many things before they ave their own
formula down pat.
SBUX should be selling at mid teens.
It has risen hugely since last fall when it was a
split adjusted 15, so this puppy has about 9 points to

chart does look bad -- but the chart for ORCL
looked bad too after it got hammered -- look at what
happened later. all of the big money is waiting for the
"big capitulation" before piling in. i think that will
happen soon but you gotta be on your toes to catch it or
the rebound will pass you buy.
