The business model for newspapers broke somewhere around 2005.
Advertising revenues began dropping off in that time-frame. Until print newspapers literally disappear and replace themselves with some digital invention...they will continue to die a slow death. I am anticipating that the New York Times goes private over the next two years...once again screwing investors. But before they can - they will have to get rid of the Boston Globe. Doing this will change the media landscape in Boston forever.
NYT was, in my eyes, looking to Apple to help reinvent news delivery. That obviously did not occur thanks to Steve Jobs unwillingness to help out.
Very good, their full of greed. Zero Divi, 11 million dollar parachute to loser ceo Robinson. Those numbers dont make sense. I understand all they want are cuts, so how does 11 million add up . If you own this one get out. Jobs knew what he was doing.
