Why the NY Times is selling at $.20 on the dollar

Yesterday a group of 6 American citizens who had their Constitutional rights violated by the IRS testified before a Congressional Committee. Their testimony was chilling. The IRS sent them endless paper work, invasive questions, eg. name the minors (7th graders in one case) who work/volunteer for you, inquires into what you read, how you pray, who in your organization might one day run for political office, etc. - all under the possiblity of punishment for perjury if answers are found to be inaccurate.

This was some of the most chilling examples of government abuse in our lifetimes. Did the NY Times see fit to cover this extraordinary story? Well not in the editions I saw. This is a clear example of “censorship by omission” to further a warped political agenda. And the shareholders wonder why their investment is in free-fall and those seeking all the news have to go to non-traditional sources to find it. As sad commentary on a once proud name in journalism.

    • The paper is an example of a "rag."

Sad but true. They don't report the news anymore, they try to influence or create it. I used to like the business section, but then discovered the Wall St J, I read the sports, but then noticed they ignore teams out of NYC. I haven't been ale to read the editorials for years ecause they reflect just one side and it's the extreme left. They call this "News". I call it propaganda and a corporate death wish. I sold out years ago, but drop bye from time to time - l;ike visiting a terminal old friend.
