Office Max has begun what should have been done years ago, cutting the fat within their bloated organization. Today they hit the little people. Tomorrow they need to hit the mid-level, do nothing sales managers and then the executive level management team. From there, they should reinvest that wasted money into distribution and hiring professional sales people who have a proven track record of bringing on new business. Yes, they cost more to get, but their model of hiring incompetence and then not training them has failed miserably.
