I don't know who will ultimately win, but Romer's constant premature crowing seems awfully insecure. They are just spreading FUD to stir up the pot.
This is part of the Romer corporate culture now. Way back in the spring of '03, when I stopped in at both the Faro & Romer booths and chatted (Eastec), Romer was obsessed w/ Faro. 80% of their sales pitch was that Faro is making false claims about accuracy, Faro is all marketing, Faro this, Faro that. Romer IMO is and has been all about stirring the pot where Faro is concerned. This is not just some ploy. They guys are long term pissed.
