I have not yet listened to the conf. call this morning. Would anyone here give a quick update? So far it looks like the results last night have moved the stock up, and the conf. call has had no price impact. Thanks for any help.
No hype, just the facts and reasonable achievable goals for growth at 25% YOY.
More plans for disruptive products....Like!
Job postings are regular and now list the consumer domain as a target market. Can they execute for this market? I don't know, but they are aiming high and appear not to have taken their eye off the ball.
I listened to the call. Just a generally great report card on the financials. News was the Focus 3D laser scanner is now the number 2 product selling at FARO. They have a ton of distributors, which means to me these disty guys are hot to sell the products. I can't recall from memory the top 5 customers, but I remember AirBus, Boeing, LMT (am I wrong?) as three of the five. It is still amazing to me that FARO's top 10 customers are only about 6% of FARO's sales. I don't think even a bread maker has that much of a homogeneous distribution of product sales to customers. I did not hear any issues with manufacturing enough of the Focus 3D laser scanners anymore. I don't recall an analyst asking about it either, so that capacity and/or engineering problems have been solved now. (That did not take long.) The CEO said in answer to a question FARO has not seen much of a response from the competitors on the new Focus 3D laser scanner -- that is so disruptive in the market.
