    5 yr chart

take a solid look at the 5 year chart. every time it got above 60 it took a sharp correction down. however, its also been coiling back and forth back and forth, if it does break through, it can seriously explode.

i'm torn. I need to sell this, but its just behaving so nicely lately, i dont want to.

either way, the last few days have been straight up, its due for a buck or two pullback before it recharges. i have to sell. is there anyone intelligent on this board to discuss

    • This was the first stock I bought on 8/31/98. It never went lower in all these years. I've toyed with selling but I didn't have to watch it as much, and it had the splits. I want to raise some money for ARIA because I think it will do better in the long run, but I will stay a little longer.

For you, it depends on your horizon. If you bought it to keep, keep it for the dividend for now. Unless you bought it for a short term trade, keep it awhile. I got out of ARIA too soon, and I had great options that I did do well on. I sold the stock and bought the options and that worked out very well. I don't dare look to see what they are now as they August.

    • yeah i sold my shares at 60.84. RIGHT after i sold it jumped up like 30 cents.
      but it closed below it.

i have had this stock too long.
10% move in one month is insane for a large cap defensive stock.

i do plan to rebuy, around where you did, low 50s. if it doens't hit that, i'll just dump the money into PPL or PFF for the dividends.

    • I bought in at 54 three months ago because I think that we are at the stage of the market when you should be in large cap defensive stock such as pharma, utilities, food. Do not sell, we have a ways to go before the down turn.
