I don't think he had to list all the reasons that might explain less than the now expected 50 MMCF/day.
Maybe poor porosity (that would be a bummer), maybe oil based drilling mud, maybe they need a few more sands, etc etc.
In the end the well did flow for a few hours at high rate a few years ago - enough promise that they built a big production platform and all the connections to hook it into production. How could it not flow now???
