I thought for sure that CVX would be in the mix , of course JB holds all the cards , it doesn't matter how us little guys and gals vote , lets hope for the crumbs that fall off the plate .
I packed my pom poms back up and will look for a better day .

Janet - don't give up just yet so keep the pom poms handy. CVX has to have a good idea of the potential and may extend a counter offer for just MMR. Of course JB may have already worked out an arrangement with them to keep them at bay and happy.

What is happening to Joe Allman this morning? 0 equity value? Now he's going to turn from hero to zero, hence one should never be haughty. He tried to be oversmart, but didnt understand the big picture. I guess that's why he is analyst, not a fund manager or hedge fund trader. I'm sure he's writing some explanation to rubbish the deal as we speak right now...
Anyway, more importantly...i hear that at least one fund had a big short on MMR on. So I'm not sure what is their state going to be...Sentiment: Strong Buy
