Anyone notice yet that BDX dropped $1.22 late yesterday to close at 30.97, thus ending the day down while the rest of the market boomed? Baxter for example was up $2.14 and the Dow Industrials were up 3.58%. Methinks this doesn't bode well for the earnings release later this month-will we shareholders ever get good news? Any other ideas as to what might be going on? Incidentally, the stock is now only $.57 above its 52-week low!
< If my recollection is right, stinky is the 2nd BDX yahoo poster to get the connellfoleyllp treatment. I can't remember the identity of the last one >
I wish you could remember the last one. Have you looked in the old messages to see if you can find it?
< so there must be some bite behind the bark eh? >
Hey, it's scary when a big company comes after you. I know. I've been there. I left a huge telecommunication company several years ago with a disagreement concerning who "owned" some software I had created. I took some of my source code with me because I had created it on my own time on my home computer. The company sent detectives and attorneys to "talk" with me. Lawsuits were threatened. It was not pretty and frankly, I was worried that I would lose everything. Very stressful!
"Stinky" is either scared to death or will become even more defiant. Since we haven't heard from him/her, I am afraid it is the former. What a shame.
Stinky, I feel for you! But dont worryyou can beat this! THINK POSITIVE!!!! And go get multiple legal opinions. There is a surplus of attorneys in this country willing to give you that first hour of consultation for free. Hopefully youve already met with several and can find one who will work with you. If not, compile your posts, make some calls, and let some attorneys give you some help. If there is anything we can do, please let us know!
i was just passing through and came upon this train-wreck....what in the hell is management of this company thinking?? surely they didn't clear this with their PR staff (if the pr department signed off on this fiasco, therin is another bucket of worms)...i would hope that bdx's internal counsel was not informed of this action...i don't own any stock in this company and never have, but, a quick glance at the profile page looks like you guys have an $8bil company run by a bunch of late forty and early fiftyish, thin-skinned, boomers who just might be in over their heads
Seems like the consensus on this board is that the legal action vs. stinkydiver was ill-advised.I agree 100%.Unless his messages were divulging confidential info(which they were not)or they contained clearly libelous statements(which they did not),the company would have been much better off ignoring the messages and concerning itself with the far more important job of improving the bottom line and enhancing shareholder value. Instead, management comes across appearing to be be petty,thin-skinned,vindictive and not up to the task for which it is primarily responsible.
