Again, good company, but top level growth is not their as of now. Again, you will see growth from year to year due to acquistions, but sales #'s are growing at 2-3%. Watch what happens at Q-2. Also EPS has been growing due to large repurchases over the last 5 years, but due to aquisition mode, watch repo's to slow down or stop.
My opinion, take your short term profits and repurchase when it back into the mid 50's, but if you want real L-T growth, look at TYC.
Come on you got to be kidding. BDX is at 65 right now and I have had it long enought to have seen it split twice at around 73/73. The way it's heading right now I won't be shocked to see split once again. Like BD watcher said hang on for the ride.
A company never sets a split just because they hit a level of stock price. I agree the past two splits have been in the 70 to 80 range, but the stock will need to show some staying power at 70, with a solid PE. Don't think they will split this stock while at 70 and a high PE.
Has anyone noticed the volume that is being traded on BDX? Am I mistaking, or has it been three times average volume. Seems unusal.
