What kind of a leadership traits did Ray Gilmartin possess and demonstrate and how are things going at Becton post Ray?

    • He is very strategic leader, having been a Consultant for BD, prior to being hired. He tends to be a top down type upper manager who likes constant feedback and attention to detail on the projects that he is driving.

      • It seems to me that in this forum there are few people knowing few things more than the others .
Well you are 100% accurate concerning Rey . But There is always a but His successor, Clateo just a couple of years back , published and distribute all around the company a list with something like 30 names the people who will lead the company in the future I can tell you for sure , that all around the company there were ( very few are still on board ) a good number of managers much better and much more competent than the ones in that list . For me it was a great surprise to see Ed succeeding Clateo instead of Gary . Clateo is a brilliant mind, always sales oriented, but he made two vital mistakes. Too many and continuous internal changes and second he allowed internal politics to overlap performance.
