What is the dividend increase in US dollars? Thanks for your reply.

    • Ummm...why get wrapped around the axle re: divvy amt variability, pence or $ due to currency exchange rates ? Just go to your broker's site and look up activity on your account; it's right there.

    • Im gonna have to do more work on this..lookin at my divvys for the last year, i only have 3 data points to work with from GSK..dmagman seems more informed than I.

    • Also, you may be aware of this, but you have to be careful when you talk about "dividend increase" with reference to GSK, since they do not pay dividends equally through the year (I don't know why they don't, but they don't).

      For 2011, the 4 quarterly dividends were 16, 16, 17 and 21 pence.
      For 2012, the 4 quarterly dividends were 17, 17, 18 and 22 pence.
      For 2013, the 4 quarterly dividends were 18, 18, 19 and 23 pence.

The pattern is clear - each quarter, the dividend is increasing by 1p versus the same quarter in the previous year. However, you will not see Q to Q increases through the year. After the current dividend is paid out in April (23p converted to $), the next 3 dividends should be less (probably 19, 19 and 20p???)

    • I'm not sure if the dollar payment on the ADRs is set on the declare date or the x-dividend date (Feb 19, I believe).

The "Dividend Calculator" on the GSK website currently lists the 4Q dividend as 75 cents, but the actual (based on previous quarters) will be exactly 75 cents (for example, if you enter 100 shares in their calculator for the 4Q2012, the dividend would be $68.95, though the dividend per share is also listed as $0.69 per share.

    • I got 2.46 x .05 = 0.123 then 0.123 +2.46 = 2.58 approximately...But I read where others have said it moves up and down so ..
Neil Young and Crazyhorse my favorite. Just a thought.
