45 Years Old Michael J. Coyle, age 45, was appointed to the Board of Directors in July 2005. From 2001 through December 31, 2007, he was president of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division of St. Jude Medical, Inc., a medical device company specializing in the development and manufacturing of cardiovascular devices. Mr. Coyle joined St. Jude Medical as director of Business Development in 1994 and was appointed president of the Daig Division, a specialty catheter business, in 1997. Previously, Mr. Coyle spent nine years in business and technical management positions in the medical device and pharmaceutical divisions of Eli Lilly & Company. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
On August 28, 2008, the Board of Directors of TomoTherapy Incorporated approved the appointment of Roy T. Tanaka, age 60, as a director of the Company effective September 1, 2008. Mr. Tanaka brings to the TomoTherapy Board 27 years of operational leadership experience, including global market expansion. He is newly retired from Biosense Webster, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, where he most recently served as Worldwide President. Mr. Tanaka joined Johnson & Johnson in 1997 as the U.S. President of Biosense Webster, Inc. before being named Worldwide President in 2004. From 1992 to 1997, he served in a variety of senior management positions at Sorin Biomedical Inc., including President and Chief Executive Officer. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Tanaka served in Vice President roles with Shiley, a division of Pfizer Incorporated. Mr. Tanaka received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Illinois Benedictine College.
Sergio, thanks for the info...I'm long significant number of shares...Plenty of rumor in the industry that Volcano will be taken over by a large medical device company..Volcano is very highly rated...a large premium will be paid...
