So I live in a the St. Paul area in a nice suburb.I get a knock on the door last night and it turns out to be the Enviroment Minnesota group and basically I get them give the speech. They were looking for donations and wanted me to sign a petition they are sending to the EPA to stop Polymet from getting permits to mine. I basiclally told him to get lost but they are certainly not giving up and making a big push to kill this. So despite Charles Laceys claims that it is a done deal because of too much public pressure the fight appears to be on.I should have told them that Charles Lacy said it was a done deal and they should just hang it up!
This type of activity is occurring in Minnesota and it is sad, this region of Minnesota needs these jobs. One thing we can do to put Minnesota back to work, and allow Polymet to start mining is to make certain we have the correct constitutional officers in place: State Auditor, Secretary of State and Attorney General all sit on the Executive Council who decide who get the necessary mining permits:
