These guys are not sitting on their hands in this environment. There is "alot" of money to be made for mortgage servicers. The big banks didnt have enough personell to conduct all the forclosures and my guess they dont have enough to review the millions of applications during this freeze. Who will they turn to for help? Hopefully the mortgage servicers. GLTA!!
Seems logical. Mortgage freeze and fed buying more treasuries will prolong timeframe for mortgage servicers to make hay in the long term. IMH needs some sub specialization in piecing together clear title for all of these RMBS that became CMOs. DO THEY DO THIS? They should know how the terrain given their experience in messing these mortgages up three and four years ago.
