This shows you what "smart" consumers we have. I guess the iphone is the preferred choice since even here in Chicago the "disadvantaged" teens are taking them away from nighttime commuters on the CTA trains.LOL
This reminds me that for Q4 2011 some moron analyst said that the Lumia line sold only 500,000 units, and of course the PPS went down quite a bit after that.
It ended up that Nokia sold 1M Lumia devices. Not great, but for being in the market for less than 2 months, it was not that bad.
This is an uphill battle, we won't conquer the world in a couple of months. What is important that we make progress, but the real battle will start in Q4 2012. That's when the Windows Phone OS will have enough features to compete with the other OS.
Not to always shoot the messenger but this is t he same Horace Dediu who is a former Nokia employee (perhaps even disgrntled former emplee) predicts Apple will ship 25 million iPads in the quarter just ended topping all analyst estimates. We'll see. But if Nokia topped Apple in April shipments at AT&T and Apple supposedly sold 4.6 million 4s iPhones in previous quarter... let's just say that Apple reverted to the previous quarter's figures (approx 3.6 million) hence 1.2 million per month.
So while my numbers are admittedly sketchy assumptions I agree his figures seem a tad low.
