Interesting topic. I was looking at the analysts estimates. NOKIA surprised earnings with only one million smart phones in the quarter three. Five million sales in the quarter would bump Gross Sales above $11 million and be close to breakeven or dare I say profitable in the 4th quarter if all other areas of the business maintains or grows moderately. Thank you for bringing this up for thought.
They would sell a lot more phones if they would bring Big Red in right away and not hold off with them till later.......Verizon needs to have these phones for the holiday season, it makes all the sense in the world!
In response to what analysts would say: "Nokia sells 5 million Lumias, however, since we have been paid to spin this negatively to help our short friends cover at as low a price as possible and accumulate a long position, Nokia has lost billions since transitioning to the Windows operating system, the competition is fierce and it is unlikely that Nokia will sustain this pace of sales through the remainder of the quarter. Negative competitive pressures abound. As such, we to continue rate NOK a sell because despite walloping our prior expectations, through our negative spin glasses, we see only a meager glimmer of hope. Please sell your shares so our financiers can cover, accumulate and go long at your little retail butt expense."
Sentiment: Strong Buy
"We see it as bad catalyst for the company, in our estimates we project a solid demand for Lumia 820 and 920, we see the company losing more money as demand increases, we are not quite sure why but we need to give it a negative spin so we recommend a SELL on the stock short term and HOLD long term.
