Nokia Lumia 920 back in stock on AT&T

    November 21, 2012 | By Surur

After running out of most colours it seems AT&T has received another shipment of Nokia Lumia 920 handsets, as one can now once again order the Black, White, Red and Yellow Nokia Lumia 920 handsets. Unfortunately the iconic Cyan still remains out of stock.

Of note however is that it appears the handset will only ship between 7 and 14 days, so the phone being ordered may still very well be on a boat winding its way to USA.

    • My local store got 3 more white Lumia 920's in stock. This was after getting only a SINGLE unit for launch (plus the two demo units). It looks to me like Nokia is planning on selling them via the old order/ship method, keeping inventory at retailers low. After getting stuck with a pile of Lumia 900's it's no wonder that Nokia is moving toward a lean inventory model. Black and White are the big sellers so far and those are the colors most often in stock for immediate purchase. If you want a red or yellow or cyan one you can order it and get it probably in a week or so. Those who need immediate gratification can walk out with a black or white Lumia 920. Seems like a small price to pay for the benefits of a lean inventory system. 

      • The lean inventory system benefits AT&T, but not Nokia - delayed gratification could cost Nokia a few sales - too many consumers are accustomed to the "me want now" (and getting now) school of retail. I would hope that as sales/supply becomes more stable, the in-store inventory could be reasonably lean, but still provide in-store stock.for customers. Of course, before that happens, Nokia has to have production up....

    • The problem is the salespeople at AT&T are still highly prejudiced against NOK. It is not changing yet. I wonder if they get paid some money for each iphone and samsung they sell. In whatever city you are in, go check at&t stores and find out for yourselves and ask the idiots why they are so biased against nok. I have. Do your own research and you will find out. AT&T should not have been the one to be given exclusivity, especially after the debacle of the 900 roll out, but then again when you have someone like eflop, what is to be expected. I count on europe and asia, especially china mobile for nok's success and maybe T-mobile and VZ here in the usa. Once my contract runs out in october 2013, I will dump at&t finally for good.

    • I'm beginning to think the massive shortage was du to Microsoft. Apparently Nokia received the final wp8 version just day prior to launch. Likely now just getting caught up.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
