How many here use Windows 8?

the tile screen has the advantage of automatically updating my email, facebook, weather, stock quotes, etc. It's just like live tiles on my Lumia 920. Very similar. I also use the desktop, but not having the "start" button made some things tricky. I still need to learn how to start programs without going through all the steps. Before on WIndows 7, just click the start button and find the program. Now that isn't an option.

    • I make sure I have all the shortcut of the programs I use on the desktop. I even have shutdown, and restart shortcust on the desktop (much easier that the way MSFT set it up).

For some things MSFT seems to have used the philosophy of 'Why make it difficult when you can make it impossible'

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • I you want to start a program, any program, you just have to start typing the name of it. Works the same for Shutdown, restart, volume and so on.

I have it on my older desktop without touchscreen but with the new microsoft touch mouse which is made for windows 8. Works like a charm.
