Use Windows 8 on my desktop at home. I have a DELL touch screen but use that for a server OS since it has high resolution for my programming needs. In other, words touch is not important on the desktop. Windows 8 is very fast but sometimes cumbersome for power users like me who mostly use the desktop tile. My hone Windows 8 use is more consumer and entertainment oriented.
I also use Window 2012 Server (with the Windows 8) GUI at work and I find is cumbersome due to the lack of START button. MSFT will have to put that button back to satisfy people like me who use the OS for business needs.
Over all I like many of the enhancements to the OS but require the START button to be completely happy with the new OS. I would bet that SP1 will have this button put back (or I hope).
I have a NOKIA 822 from Verizon and that think is amazing. So nice that I am learning to program for the OS. Wish I knew a Chinese language.
