I did the Facebook MAU calculation as well for Q4 and I came up with roughly 9.5 million windows phones SOLD, so I'm happy to see a pro analyst come up with 9.8 million, which is very close to my number.
However, my number of Lumias sold was 7 Million plus another 2-3 million shipped which gives Nokia a very high number of 9 million Lumias for Q4. This would be a blowout on every level.
So I'm not sure how these guys get 4 million. That's about 42% which cannot be right. Nokia easily had at least 70% of the windows market. Their only competition was HTC in Q4 and they came to market later and on top of that HTC didn't have the same exposure and hype as the lumia line. This is one of the great benefits we get by teaming up with Softy exclusively.
So hang on to your shares cause even a 7 million Lumia quarter would be considered a blowout but I honestly cannot see how it can be that low - yet all the pro analysts cannot imagine how it can end up being so high. To me 7 million is as clear as day while 9+ million is about 85% certain in my mind.
