Let's offer the shortsellers some ideas to ease the pain. I'll start. Adult diapers. You can find them at Walgreens, isle 4. Hurry up and buy them before your colleague buys them all.

Drink hemlock. It's painless, and no mess. Unfortunately, insurance companies won't pay off for suicide. If you have a family, and live near the exchange, getting "pushed" into a train or bus is the way to go.
Accidental deaths pay double.

Actually, for whatever it's worth, I recall reading that hemlock poisoning is quite painful and slow.
Still, I agree with your recommendation, that shorts should drink it.....

Or alcohol. Pretend that someday the price will wane, but just don't stop drinking.
Or, turn off the computer and pretend it's not happening.
Maybe the gubmint will allow a do-over?
