The budget-priced Nokia Lumia 620 smartphone is expected to launch on January 31, according to suppliers of the Finnish smartphone manufacturer.
Europe will initially receive the device for €298 ($395), with other regions set to receive unlocked Lumia 610 units by the end of February.
The Lumia 620 was announced during the opening stages of December. It sports a 3.8-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, VGA front-facing camera, NFC technology and runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform.
The device is available in six colors: lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, white and black. Elsewhere, it houses a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, HSDPA, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS with Glonass, Bluetooth 3.0, Dolby headphone sound enhancement, an Adreno 305 GPU, 8 GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support of up to 64 GB and a 1,300mAh battery.
No it is still breaking news because the sales of lumia 620's are in stronger demand than the higher end phones overseas. The 620's are also available off contract which is important. The 620 is for sale is China and they have more people that will be buying phones than all of the US carriers sell in the US put together. It is a huge announcement.
