Apples I phone sales were a little sketchy at Verizon.

The five did not sell as well as the 4. They were giving the 4 away for free with an upgrade to 2 years. There were a lot of teenagers upgrading from old phones or from 1 older version to a newer version because the phone cost zero and they could afford them. Why not? This was an attempt to boost the numbers after the free fall. So the new Iphone 5 did not sell as well as the old phones. The upgrades for zeros made those numbers.

      yes, very bad

:::On Tuesday, Verizon Communications said in its quarterly earnings report that the iPhone was its top-selling smartphone. It sold 9.8 million smartphones over the past quarter, 6.2 million of which were iPhones. Nearly half of the iPhone sales were of iPhone 5s, Verizon said.:::

    • Who cares? I got my Lumia for free with my plan also... Stop the spin, 100% more iPhones than last quarter, and 50% more from a year ago quarter....

      • I guess you obviously care. There is a big difference. Nokia is not paying for the phones Microsoft is paying for the phone if you "actually bought one". NOKIA STILL MADE A PROFIT ON THE PHONE IF IT WAS ZERO COST TO YOU. On the other hand no one is paying APPLE for their phones. SO IF THEY SOLD A PHONE FOR ZERO THEY MADE ZERO. IT WAS A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO BOOST NUMBERS BECAUSE THEIR STOCK PRICE WAS IN A FREE FALL BASED ON THE W8 LUMIA THREAT. So nokia made a profit when the sold a phone for o, Apple lost hundreds of dollars when they sold a phone for 0. Big difference and sketchy.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
