Not sure anyone has talked about some of the sales over the last couple of days related to stockholders selling so that they can buy other income producing dividend stocks. For anyone over the age of 60 a dividend like the one Nokia had was a big reason for their investment. Just my 2 cents but it seems to me that that rotation, now hopefully over, should reduce the downward pressure on the stock price. Really hoping to see $5 in the next few weeks!
When you say "most are skeptical" you must mean all those MS hating know-nothing fanboy bloggers dominating the headlines out there. Real analysts are actually predicting WP overtaking iphone in the next couple years.
RIMM is cheaper? lol. People comparing RIMM to NOK make me laugh. RIMM is toast. They won't have ecosystem to compete against MS backed WP. Businesses are already switching to WP8 devices.
I think we will not see $5 before sometime in March/April, although I hope I am wrong. There is no catalyst for the time being. We need upgrades from a few banks now to be able to move the needle. Patience is what all longs need to have now. Just a shame that all my calls are focked up now. Not even sure that I will be able to exercise my Feb. $4 calls. We will see mid 3's before 5. But in the long run we should be OK.
A Yahoo! User - Why do you want to exercise the calls? If the strike price on the calls is higher than the current market price, could you just buy the stock today? I am just learning about options and thought most of the money is made by trading the premiums with no intent to exercise the right to buy. Thanks in advance.
