I've been trading online for 13 years and know issuing more shares is very negative short term. Anybody seen anything different?
16. Authorization to the Board of Directors to resolve on the issuance of shares and special rights entitling to shares
The Board proposes that the Annual General Meeting authorize the Board to resolve to issue in total a maximum of 740 million shares through issuance of shares or special rights entitling to shares (including stock options) under Chapter 10, Section 1 of the Finnish Companies Act in one or more issues during the effective period of the authorization. The Board may issue either new shares or shares held by the Company.
If you have been trading that long, you should know that most companies have this in case that they need to acquire another company, etc.
True what you say about share emissions that they can are mostly negative for shareholder, indicating that a company is running out of cash. However this is not the case for Nokia having was it around 6 billion $ in cash, and are forecasting somewhat around 0 net result next quarter. Actually a great sign bleeding has been stopped.
If you really wish to scare Nokia shareholders...why not try to find real things to scare about...there should be some as there are positive things.
If you have been on Nokia message board that long, you should know that I am long and holding. However, I get nervous when I read about millions of shares possibly being issued. So are you assuring me that Nokia will not issue 740 million shares this year and dilute the stock price? The only thing that scares Nokia holders are mundane accusations like yours that are unfounded.
