Nokia Corporation Message Board

Thank you Elop for making Nokia profitable again...

Congratulations Mr. Elop: you did the near impossible, and made Nokia profitable again. The Lumia 920 is a great smartphone device, and I'm very please with my purchase. The stock itself could be performing better, but that isn't your fault. I'll bet if you asked half of the investment community about Nokia's current situation, they would still say there is horrible cash burn and they are about to go broke. Why? The media is biased, and organizations like Forbes continue to have their author's post lies and misinformation about Nokia's products, suggesting that sales have been poor, and their devices really haven't been well received. Nothing could be further from the truth, but it will take some time to show the rest of the world that these negative criticisms are false and misleading.

Short traders have also been attacking and spamming this message board, encouraging people to sell, and they even so far as to demand Elop should be fired. Fired for what, exactly? Helping Nokia become profitable again? Shorts, go stuff yourself...

I am long Nokia, because I believe in the value of their products. They make quality hardware, and they just seem to know what they are doing compared to other manufactures like LG, Huawei, Sony, and the rest. Even Samsung doesn't compare with them, and only Apple exceeds in terms of quality and finesse (but not value).

In summary, hold onto your shares! Ignore the lies, and the false statements by critics, and ask yourself would you buy one of their products? In my case, I purchased a Lumia 920, and I'm very happy with it, so much that I actually purchased a second unit! What about WP8? Is it perfect then? No, of course not...but it's still a great OS, and shows tons of promise. It's faster and more secure than Android, and more flexible than iOS. There's no question that Microsoft WP is already the third ecosystem, by sheer virtue of the strength of it's resources (xBox games, Music, Office products).

RIMM was a good company, but their time is past, and they are not big enough to compete. I think Microsoft should swallow them, and then use their patents to help consolidate and protect the WP platform. However, even if that doesn't happen, the Windows Phone community will still continue to thrive and survive, and Microsoft is simply too big to be denied...

Nokia choose the right path, and Elop has made good on his plans to resurrect the company, and make it viable again. He is not responsible for stock price dropping, and that will rise again as Nokia continues to earn additional profits during 2013, and beyond. For those who have already invested, show courage & vision, and this will eventually pay off.

Stick to your guns, and screw them lying shorts! Show them ugly critters that we don't panic easily, especially when the company and it's products are so damned good :o`

Sentiment: Strong Buy (Rocket to the Moon)
