Nokia Lumia Smartphones to Be Used in Select Sales Operations for TheCoca-Cola Company

    Feb 22, 2013 13:13:32 (ET)

ESPOO, FINLAND, Feb 22, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Nokia has announced that Nokia Lumia smartphones will be used by select sales forces of The Coca-Cola Company in Vietnam and Cambodia. The devices will be used on a daily basis by sales associates in those markets for order processing, equipment validation and market execution improvement.

Nokia Lumia smartphones offer Coca-Cola employees full support for Microsoft(TM) Office on the Microsoft(TM) Windows Phone 8 platform, allowing easy synchronization with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Lync and Office365 as well as seamless integration with Outlook. The features enable employees to work flexibly and remotely with secure access to all their corporate data and systems.

Business level security also comes as standard on Nokia Lumia, with hardware-accelerated encryption, secure boot, sandboxed apps and remote device management capabilities. The high level security means that should an employee misplace their smartphone, confidential company information is still protected.

"Our collaboration with Nokia and Microsoft enables us to utilize our sales automation and market execution tools on two very progressive platforms," said Javier Polit, Chief Information Officer of the Bottling Investments Group, The Coca-Cola Company. "We will be able to activate our teams with capabilities that enable us to further improve our execution and customer services by obtaining actionable insights. The Nokia Lumia and Microsoft platform fit our enterprise landscape well."

"By combining the Windows 8 platform with eye-catching design and innovative technologies, we have created smartphones that ensure Coca-Cola employees can operate flexibly across multiple geographies and time zones and still remain fully productive," said Stephanie Mosticchio, enterprise sales manager for North America at Nokia. "Providing seamless synchronization with Windows Phone 8 and Microsoft Office, Nokia Lumia smartphones enable Coca-Cola employees to work as effectively on the go as they would in the workplace."

    Nokia for Business

With the Nokia Lumia range, Nokia offers business users the ability to work on their mobile as they would on their PC. With the Windows Phone 8 platform, Microsoft Office and Outlook are built in allowing employees to create and edit PowerPoint, Excel and Word documents wherever they are whilst seamlessly syncing their files. Combined with a design that stands out, business level security as standard, and a range of Qi standard wireless charging solutions, the Nokia Lumia is the most innovative smartphone for businesses on the market today.

    • This is what I am talking about. Slowly, adoption of lumias will occur all over the world, cause it just makes sense. Lumias are the best build phones, tough enough to stand up to any rugged environment, not wimpy plastic junc phones that shutter at the slightest drop. Moreover, they integrate perfectly with existing windows infrstructure. If you are in IT, what more can you ask for? This, in the end will be how nokia will win the war, slow and steady adoption in corporations all over the world.

    • slowly as WP8 gain Lumia will just get bigger especially with business. I know every time RIMM get these kind of news their price jump but NOK goes down or go up small fraction.
