But you sound silly because they have a half billion or more members and now will have more than a billion with google social sites combined. You have the right to not like it. To say it is not one of the biggest social stories of our times is in denial. They have grown to a level no other social network has and it is still incredibly popular with the age group that actually spends money in music downloads and apps. The 40+ is not a big revenue area. This is one of the worst things that I could even imagine happening to Nokia. It is not on fair ground now. Before everyone had a Facebook app. Now some Facebook apps will be able to talk TO ALL of their friends and some only those on Facebook. Odd the way it ended but it took the fairness out of the mobile wars. Microsoft & Nokia need to get real unfair real quick or it is going to be very hard to compete with that.
There are millions to billions of teenagers overseas and it is their sole communication method. For $10.00 I can place an ad on Facebook and send it to several hundred thousand business customers. I have a business that receive 200,000 likes in one year. The advertising on Facebook is a fraction of the cost of anything. I have insights you do not. It is a big deal. You can laugh about it, but it would be better to put the heat on Facebook for anti trust. I know how important it is overseas. The CNBC generation and anyone over 30 will not get this. I hope I am wrong but this will severely hurt overseas sales by just having the messaging and social apps tied together. Sorry, it is true.
