I know. But I sometimes wonder how serious Nokia is about the plan B. What if it was only a half-hearted attempt? Elop is a real corporate cleaner ? (this senario did happen in the past, although it was all speculation..)
I am sure they have different strategies for different situations.
But I don't see any evidence yet that going with WP should be changed for something else. At least not yet. It will be more clear in 2-3 weeks.
Although Elop said Nokia was "all in" on WP for their smartphones, it would be the height of stupidity not to have alternates in various stages of development. Nokia's R&D is huge, even with all the resource cuts they've endured, and they're definitely not stupid. Slap a new processor in the Lumia line and it's ready (almost) for Android. From the time they actually start re-tooling for Android it will probably be six to nine months before they have an Android device on the market.
