It's a fact that feature Asha phones will be a bit down. We are expecting that. The bashers will use this against nokia. The real issue is Lumia sales and they seem to be up 27% this quarter. This outways sales numbers for Asha in importance.
7.1 m should be the number as seen from the data's out spiral far.
It is especially good everything else tank. Feature, like S4 iPhone should collapsed. The only other growth area Ian the margin empty Androids from emerging markets,
7.1 million would be good news. 27% is a big bump that will show WP8 and Nokia are growing. As of today Nokia controls 85.5% of all WP8 sales, up from 80% last month. The new phones must be selling well even though people are saying the smarthphone market isn't growing as fast.
I think the expected sales target for Nokia in rebuilding mode makes the slow down in high-end smartphone devices less of an issue, especially since they have devices like the 520 which are said to be doing remarkably well. I'm willing to bet that the numbers fall in line with expectations, more so than previous quarters...
Also, where is that negative earnings warning that RBC was yapping about? If things were that bad, the warning bell would have been sounded, and there would have been no NSN purchase!
The traction of Lumia will be the main factor on this report I think. Overall mobilephone sales will also tell us if the market is what Samsung & HTC is talking about from their report...I'm happy to see 60 mil phone sales with approx 8.0 mil Lumia's. I am peeing on my pants from excitement ;)
