Again we may not necessary understand why , but apparently million of consumers are voting with their wallets on the 625.
If one notice carefully, unlike the 1020, there are hardly any adverts , nor any glamorous event for the launch of 625, yet one after another sold out is appearing even through there were rumours that Compal received 3m orders of 625.
Nokia must continue to research on and develop products that the global markets wants and this is another good example rather than sexy but essentially poorly sold products like RT tablets
Nokia hasn't killed SQUAT yet. They have some winning products. Very competitive. But Samsung is still #1 and Apple is still #2. That won't change until Microsoft finds a way to get the public to take another look at WP as a viable choice in mobile.
1020 will be product of the year and 52x will become the best seller of all time. Notice the naming convention? Each phone was named for the stock price it is intended to drive to.
Should see 5.20 this quarter and 10.20 in every christmas stocking.
Since Microsoft and others have exited the RT tablet market, it could work in Nokia's favour. They might make a big splash in an empty pool and get noticed for it. Like Ineedastock, I don't really see what the problem was with the RT tablet, beyond the fact that it didn't catch people's imaginations. Most people who buy tablets have no idea what's inside. How many people know what powers an iPad? Not me and I've got one.
