love this quote from old Whitney Tilson who got smoked shorting Nokia
"Tilson concedes that at the end of the day, it’s been a tough year to be short. “I’ve never seen carnage like this among short sellers,”
THis week was a classic example of all the short leaning funds thinking they could push the thin market lower on the Fed. Idiots like momo got sucked into the trade only to have their balls stomped yet again.
agreed... valuations are at internet bubble levels... LNKD is a joke at 26 billion. all these websites that went public are just garbage.. angie's list, linked in, yelp, most of it makes no sense, and has almost no profit margin.
Twitter I happen to think has potential.. I love the product. But the valuation again is silly. Nokia was a no brainer... hard to find situations like that now that are still mispriced.
