Thank you for your advice. I have a couple of friends that have recently purchased Nokia phones, and love their capabilities. If Nokia follows the same trend as LU after it split, we should see green signs soon! I was also looking for some history on nokia, and didn't find much on Yahoo(like revenue increase, debt, ect...) does anybody know where to find this info. THanks Kerwin
Yes - to me it looks like Nokia at $200 in some 3-6 month (with the split in mind that is the same as $100), so still it is very very cheap. I agree the split could have been formulated more clearly - but it is ok: whatever you have the 15th will be split as (0.5 * 2) next day ....... which will make it more easy to compare ericsson and nokia stocks - but, then ericsson is spiltting too soon ... (so maybe nokia will split agian soon ?)
Another issue is that nokia will come out with 1Q results by end of this month... what happened when nokia showed '97 results ? +$10 !!!
i think ya'll got to understand something about this comin' up ol' split. the ex date is the 16th: that means it splits on the 16th - and not on the beginning of trade that day, but at the end when trading is over that day. now's time to get hoppin' on this...
