    stent?

this company has their hands in a lot of different pots, they make stents, and explosive devices detection and other medical devices. is this a good thing that they spread themselves over a bunch of different areas? is there a big market for stents? who are their competitors, why is imx better than the rest? do they have fda approval. all theses questions needs answers, and if the answers are positive than we shocul see a higher price of the stock. right now i'm holding on to my stock not buying not selling just playing the wait and see game, if things get better than i'll buy more, if the stock price should drop, then i'll sell my stock,

    • Mark, the areas IMX are all derived from its core competency, ion mobility spectrometry (IMS). They keep finding more uses for it.
A couple of points have been under-mentioned imo. 1. "With the support of a government research grant, the Company has begun an initiative on a catheter-based brachytherapy system device for the prevention of restenosis (reclosure of the artery) following balloon angioplasty. The catheter is being designed to deliver localized radiation to the patient's artery, using Iodine-125, a soft gamma ray emitter mounted on the tip of a delivery catheter. Using its patented core technology for the I-Plant seed, the Company is developing a proprietary process to produce radioactive sources of sufficient strength to be used in the vascular system." Think about this--if stents are not an option, they can feed a catheter in
and hopefully zap the are of restenosis. Speculative but BIG if it works. 2. "We are developing several explosive detection systems that could be used in airports, public and government buildings, and sporting event facilities." Sporting event facilities...now why mention that in the 10Q unless there has been specific discussion. How many stadium entrances are there in the US? If one stadium gets 4 or 5 QS, can the other ones afford NOT to get them? I'd be interested in opinions on why this use was mentioned.
