Half of trades were short today

That adds tons of value to the conversation..childish. Do you really believe only 5,661 avg volume is long each day? Do you really believe 83% of the volume is due to shorts? One starring my post and calling me short does not address the topic. What I posted has no indication on whether I'm short or not. I'm just posting data and a analysis. Why does questioning the FINRA data have anything to do with being long or short?

Please address my post on it's merits and explain why the daily FINRA reporting is meaningful to the long investor. Try to reconcile it, instead of labeling me a short. Educated dialog creates a much better board than rah rah posting and labeling those who might question anything as short.

    • Just a follow on note - the MM uses the short sales to manage his balance in any stock. Most of these MM short sales don't last more than 24 hours.

      • And that is to my point. If the MM are creating the short sales to manage his inventory, then the information is worthless to the investor. But I still have problem with the net volume as it doesn't seem to add up to a reasonable number. I believe I've seen another stock, where the short volume was more than half the total volume for the period yet the total short interest went down during that period.

Essentially, there is really no short interest worth noting on this stock and posting FINRA data is a bunch of meaningless hoopla.
