Interesting commentary by Ed Cohen regarding the creation of yet another tax advantaged entity...sounds like something that will be beneficial to ARP. He did not give much details and made it sound like they were still in a quiet period for SEC filing purposes.
He mentioned land, acreage issues at ARP. I believe he is alluding to the fact that they have an enormous amount of acreage waiting to be drilled. I kept thinking it might involve something like Linn did by creating Linnco, a non K-1 producing vehicle. It will be very interesting to hear what they are working on.
I am surprised we have not seen more commentary on this board.
The DTE acquisition looks to be one of the better deals pulled off by any of the E&P MLPs over the past couple of years.
The Marble Falls wells look to be a perfect marriage of low cost (under $1 million/well) and have extremely nice economics. ARP can drill these wells without much concern of botching a well versus drilling a well with similar economics that costs $6 million.
