In anticipation of his remarks, Mr. Stokes said, “The Wall Street Analyst Forum provides us with an opportunity to emphasize some of our key themes in the current environment including our debt reduction efforts, the strategic benefits of our corporate structure and the cash generating capacity of our businesses.
“In this unsettled economic environment, it’s important that investors understand that we have set out a clear path to both a further strengthening our capital structure and to the ultimate resumption of quarterly cash distributions to investors
Look at the business structure. Only airport parking segment ,which is a separate corporate entity is in trouble. Debt obligation of MIC related to this entity is NON-RECOURSE except for the guarantee portion of $12,000,000. After that ,they walk away from the remaining debt.
MIC is paying down the debt for which they are responsible leading to a more efficient company and the resumption of payouts to investors.
