Yes, yes. I know you're going to tell me this means absolutely nothing, and it's only one model, and the newer ones are going to sell for 5 times this price, etc, etc.
Just going to point it out anyhow since it's relevant info:
<i'm long as i've stated many times and have been for a while now.>
That doesn't mean you aren't connected with the short side in my book.
I'll say it again: If it looks like a duck etc.
I am long SKX.
<specsit, the big players could care less what is on these yahoo forums.>
You're probably right on that.
Yet the board does, on occassion, supply meaningful info to other board users. I find I have benefitted from that.
It is separating the wheat from the chaff (often supplied by interested party paid posters, that can make it difficult for the reader/user).
I am long SKX.
<Just going to point it out anyhow since it's relevant info:>
Shake, shake, shake.
The only "information" I'd be interested in from you is whether you have any association or relationship with anyone holding a short position in SKX.
A one word answer will do.
Yes. Or no.
I am long KLIC.
Spec, I've answered that question many times.
Why don't you all up the sales manager at Kohl's and ask them if they are associated with a SKX short since they're the ones who put the shoes on sale?
we dont know the actual results of operations until skx tells us, but we are now 4 months removed from when management knew that toning slowed up for back to school. part of what gives me confidence in their ability to move excess inventory, excepting the fact that they always have been able, is the fact that their distribution outlets have grown substantially in the last 2 years. company owned stores, outlet stores,100 countries and many new partners within those countries, online selling, big box stores. they are giving it 6 months to right the inventory. i just dont see how they cant solve it in that long a period with as much distribution as they have. i say they are nearly done with it as every distributor has a lot of new product available.
the marketing campaigns now get leverage to their worldwide brand. gretzky, kardashian, brooke burke,malone,montana-all of that marketing cost is leveraged into china, india, brazil, all of europe, asia. they can use their likeness and endorsement to sell product around the world. that is what makes it different than the old la gear endorsement strategy. and of course the la gear product sucked and it was 20 years ago.
kids business is smoking hot, us and world economy growing not shrinking. put the stock away and see where it is next holiday season. stop trading and timing, it is not that hard.
Another model for the same price:
