So what your saying is that a company like Amazon should buy Skechers for its strategic assets?

    Sounds interesting.

    • What I'm saying is this...

Let's say you were a company with lots of cash and needed a state of the art distribution facility near Long Beach's port...

Let's say you decided to pull the trigger and start the process tomorrow...

How long do you think it would take from the moment it got started until you had something working?

Just to get the damned building permits must take a bunch of time....

Right now--the only sure way to generate profits is to cut down on expenses. As SKX has surely pointed out, sales in the shoe industry can have its peaks and valleys. If you are guaranteed that you have a cost advantage to that of your competitors, that is something that you can always bank on regardless of the fickleness of the market place for shoes.

The stumbling block of course is the voting structure of this stupid stock. Cannot believe that the Greenbergs would sell their shares when the stock is this low. And, the days of hostile takeovers seem to be a thing of the past.

But if I were in need of a d.c., this would be the way to go.
