As we had observed on this mb, the demo video for DPNCheck was changed a couple weeks ago. At the time, we had noted that amplitude was added as an additional diagnostic being monitored along with nerve conduction velocity. The new video is the one that is now linked to the Nuro product webpage:
When you look at the two videos together, you can clearly see the addition of amplitude as a diagnostic being monitored and used in determining the onset of DPN. In fact IMO the omission of amplitude in the first video was not an oversight as much as it is a revision of the device. IMO Nuro is now selling DPNCheck rev 1. Whether it was the DPNCheck Advisory Committee or doctor feedback, somewhere a recommendation for adding amplitude was originated and Nuro followed thru. All I can say is nice rapid turnaround of a good idea…. and Bravo.
Oh yes, and because I know the bashers would insist on it; I will be giving period updates of the number of views of both videos as a general indicator of interest in DPNCheck.
Hmmm ... interesting. Since I posted the message this morning, someone has removed the old DPNCheck video. Could it be that someone at Nuro actually monitors this mb or was it pure coincidence that the video was removed within 6 hours after my post.
You're kidding of course. This is a company that has downsized over the last couples years and now has 69 employees. And they still have 6-SIX-6 VP's listed on the staff roster. And this is after a major restructuring of product, focus, and goals. Sounds to me like a couple more should go. I see this as a necessary part of the restructuring and downsizing.
