Why has Western Lithium chosen Germany as the location for their lithium extraction process pilot plant?
Germany has been focusing on litihium-ion battery technology. Last May, the Germans developed a
revolutionary lithum-in battery that meets and exceeds those of the Asian companies. Wth the strong
backing of of the German government, many of Germany's largest companies, including their auto-
manufacturers are moving forward to incorporate he lithium-ion batteries as a key part of their business
plans. Various consotriums have already been formed in joint efforts to assist in the technologilcal
advancement. Rockwood Internationsal is also in Germay working with these businessgoverment
consortiums. IMO, Germany has shown great interest in our lithium extraction process and it's
cost competitive advantages versus current suppliers. Keep your eye on the Germans, as they
are moving full steam ahead into the use of lithium-iion battery technology. GO WESTERN LITHIUM!
Energy businesses are going to go where they're welcomed. I'm not surprised about the pilot plant being set up in Germany. Yes, we loose the employment and dollars. But this is what happens when government thinks they know best and don't!
As long as the EPA and other environmental groups continue to rule the roost when it comes to energy defiance in the United States, companies will be forced to look to other countries. IMO, I say good for them. Don't let government bureaucracy and stupidity hold you back.
You are clueless if you environmental regulations are looser in the EU. Why do think they are doing battery research and kicking the #$%$ out of us in adopting alternative energy strategies? Geeze.....
