Exynos Octa, taking the first big.LITTLE step

big.LITTLE is a simple idea that can go a long way. Samsung's decision not to build their own custom core like Apple and Qualcomm and adopt ARM's big.LITTLE technology speaks to the trust they have in ARM's ability to deliver on new technology. big.LITTLE will probably take some time to get tuned the right way in real-world smarthpone usage scenarios. But after an initial teething phase of say a few years, its a technology that holds long term promise. In getting behind it Samsung is making a big bet on what could be a real game-changer for ARM.

Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 Benchmark Result Surfaced, Shows The Power of Intel Clover Trail+

2:48 PM Android, Benchmark, Intel, Lenovo, Lenovo K900, Phablet

(GSM Insider) - Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 Benchmark Result Surfaced, Scores More Than 25,000 Points.

The image above showed the AnTuTu benchmark result of XiaoMi Phone 2 and Lenovo K900. The XiaoMi Phone 2 scores 21958 points but the Lenovo K900 scores 25481 points. It is clear that the Lenovo K900 higher performance than the XiaoMi Phone 2. Even you dont agree, at least AnTuTu Benchmark showed the figures.

The Lenovo K900 is powered by 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 and 2GB of RAM while the GPU is PowerVR SGX 544MP. The Intel Atom Z2580 is a dual-core processor with four threads.

The important thing is the AnTuTu Benchmark result above does not represent the complete result. It is said that the benchmark belongs to Lenovo K900 prototype. Thats why the 2D and 3D scores are lower than the XiaoMi Phone 2. The complete Lenovo 900 should score more than 30,000 points.

These numbers are fake, including the ARM based XiaoMi Phone 2.

We know what the (CPU) performance of Clover Trail+ will look like as we have benchmarks for it's slightly reduced clocked brother (Clover Trail).

      • AnTuTu only tells you how fast the A15 can go, not how slow and power stingy the A7 can.
