This is just more ammunition to what I have been saying for weeks now. Satelite service just can't compete with the offering that cable provides. Dish has peaked and as the momentum investors and hedge funds start selling, watch out below.

Does DISH offer locals in Atlanta? Perhaps they are gaining subs simply because they offer locals....
I doubt that a successful cable campaign in a single US city will have much effect on DISH nationwide. If you ask me, the packages that they are offering are priced rediculouly high. You are bound to get a few sheep who will follow a "free lunch". After the credits wear off, you'll see them flock back to DISH, a better cheaper service.
