"The company DISH hires to install refused to climb down a ladder (9 whole feet) and install DISH services on my flat roof. They would climb up a ladder but not down."
that will hurt dishs bottom line having to hire more and more installers since the ones they have are all stuck at the tops of ladders but still a good buy for dish getting the debtless block assets on the cheap.
Well, yes and no. Dish is stuck with an alternative-to-cable image with PPV movies as an add-on that most viewers ignore. At best, consumers will see their Netflix lookalike as an impostor, Netflix doesn't need a dish. It all depends on whether Ergen has hired some real marketing savvy. I doubt it. He's made his mark by savvy negotiation and razor-thin margins. Making a marketing-intensive start-up succeed is a whole new ball game.
