I sold my 1000 shares today @ 33.70 but look for the price to move much lower than 32. Last quarter she dropped to 30 before starting to base/build and this time I think 29 and change is in the cards. I've done this now for three quarters, seems to work every time. I'm not sure who is running this up before earnings, maybe there hedging and doing the same thing I did.
I see the steep drop-off the past two Qs, which is what you are referring to in your post. But the past two quarters the company missed earnings. I think someone is trying to manipulate the price after hours. Probably placed a bad bet that the company would miss again.
ehh.. Don't know about that. When I look at the 5-year chart, I see a rising wedge. Granted, I am not much of a chartist. But with the Forward P/E ratio where it is, I don't see the stock dropping below $31.70. That's a forward P/E of 10 for a stock with a ROE of 24.49%.
If it hits $30, I will switch from selling puts to buying LEAPs.
