I sent a copy of this letter to Steve Davis, Randy Hicks, and Roger Williams back in June of 2007. For those of you left behind who were told that this was the first knowledge they had of these actions, you are being lied to. Here is a copy of that letter I posted here as well in June of 2007.

Subject: Exit Interview
Dear Sirs, First and foremost thank you for the opportunity to have worked for Bob Evans Farms for twenty years and four months, during which I have been a dedicated employee and soldier to the company and love working for the company. I have moved my family nine times to accommodate both my growth and the company’s needs. My performance and reputation has always been one of leadership, setting the example and getting results and is one you will find is genuine. I have always been a top performer in any market. I currently outperform my contemporaries. My evaluations speak for my performance. My purpose in writing to you is to let you know that I am not just another disgruntled underperformer, and I can not in my heart continue to collect another paycheck from Bob Evans. My reasons for leaving my current boss Mike Thompson are as follows as I cannot see working for him another day as I have run out of energy to continue due to demotivation from him as my superior. I have struggled for several years since July 18, 2004, looking over my shoulder every day wondering if it would be my last, simply because of guilt by association with people of whom I am friends. I want to be clear that this is not about Bob Evans Farms. Mike Thompsons actions and his management of myself and others needs to be looked into, but people with no second option are not going to speak in fear of retaliation and abuse of power as Mike Thompson has exhibited in the past. Mike’s actions seem to be increasingly swept under the rug and this is a travesty to Bob Evans Farms.
